I picked this up at my local library and was hopeful to find some insights within as I am struggling to find the right job for me. I read about 1/2 of this book before giving up. The author is British and while I am aware of some of the terms that the Brits use, I was't familiar with that many. His sentences tend to be overly long and wordy. Furthermore, I was hoping that he would follow particular workers around and report on what they did on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this comprised the minority of the book that I read. The first chapter, for example, deals with Cargo Ships and their movements. The chapter is more of an overview of the entire cargo shipping industry, with very little personalizations, if any. I guess I just didn't "get" this book.
