I was a little disappointed with the book and so am in no hurry to finish it. The "today's world examples" of the parables were too simplistic for the majority of them. I think the idea is good but someone needs to explore it further.

Have you heard of the Parable of the Semitrailer? "But Jesus said to them again, 'Boys, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a semitrailer to drive through the center of a Cheerio than for a man with wealth and power to enter the kingdom of God.'"
Surely you're familiar with The Sunday Golfer? The Baseball Fans? The Bank Heist?
You may shake your head no, but you'll soon discover that these are all familiar parables found in the Scriptures. Author Carl Carlozzi has taken the parables and word-pictures you know and retold them in a contemporary framework. The Bible's truths will jump out at you as you see them set in situations you encounter every day. You'll find the corporate Shake-up, The Incessant Phone Calls, The Recovering Alcoholic, and many more and discover again how the Bible's truths last through all time.
