Sally Cox is a recent divorcee and bitter about it. Financial difficulties only add to her unhappiness. During the course of her job as a nursing assistant at a nursing home, she meets Mrs. Rigsby and learns that the elderly woman has a large sum of money buried. Mrs. Rigsby makes Sally promise to give the money to the poor. Sally and her coworker, Karen, decide that THEY are the poor.

Good, Christian mystery with twists and turns and highly believable characters.

I enjoyed this book that deals with the pitfalls of financial worry, the wages of greed, and God who has promised to be a refuge from both. The story was original, intriguing and highly enjoyable. I look forward to reading more by this author of Christian fiction.

Rather than her series, this is a single book. It is a unique and compelling story line.

First off Kathy Herman is a wonderful author and i have read nothing of hers that i did not like. This is a true-to-life story that poses the question, "is stealing ever ok?"
The story of Sally, who's husband has just left her for a younger woman, she is barely earning enough to stay afloat. Sally works in a nursing home and her favorite patient is Mrs. Rigsby. Mrs Rigsby has told Sally that she has saved some money, she is 90 years old and has dimentia, will anyone know, will it be ok to steal from someone who isn't going to live to spend it when Sally needs it so bad? What happens when the answer to this question is made final is a great story. I never found myself bored with some nice twists and turns and decisions to make.
