I picked up The Uncrowned Queen the other day at a used book store, and when reading the back this morning discovered it is the third in a trilogy.

Has anyone else read it? Can I jump into the third book or should I back up? Is it worth it?

I have read the first, and I would back up.  Otherwise, I think, among other things, your impressions of the heroine will ... be different.

I greatly enjoyed the first book so, yes, I'd say it is worth it, but that's just me.

Backup --- the main character is the same in all three books and you will appreciate the backstory.  Can't remember which one I didn't like, but I read all three.   One I liked less than the others.

Sigh.  Ok, that makes sense.  Thanks for your help. I can't believe I missed it was a trilogy when I picked it up at the book store.

I have all three but have yet to read the 2nd and the 3rd.  I have 2 of the 3rd (Uncrowned Queen) AKA:  The Beloved.    I can't wait to read the next two.......

The first one is on the way to me, and I'm hoping the second gets listed into the system soon. I'm looking forward to reading them.

I hope you enjoy Tessie!
