I have a paperback book.  I picked it up at my fave thrift store.  One reason I was drawn to it was it appeared brand new - the spine had no signs of being ever opened unlike another by the same author that had been obviously read.  I finally finished it last night and my jaw dropped when I saw the last page was ripped out.  Upon further inspection what is really torn out is the "title page" that preceeds the sneak peek at the next installment that is included in the back of the book.

It is a WLed book with 50+ wishers.  I really would like the credit to get another book.  Do I post and then PM the requester the details of that one page missing or should I consider it just damaged goods?

There will always be people who go both ways on this discussion, but the help topics say no loose or missing text pages. I would post it.

You can always post about it in the book bazzar with full details of the book so anyone requesting it would know exactly what they're getting.  That way, you wouldn't have to PM and wait for a response.  You could post it directly to someone's WL that doesn't mind the missing page.

I agree with Michelle.  I've had books with the empty pages before the title page and/or at the end of the book torn out.  I've always posted them and then PMd the requestor regarding the torn pages.  Never once has a requestor turned down the request, but I felt better knowing that they were OK with this.

Which book?  Perhaps someone here on the Forums has it on his/her WL! :)

If it is beyond "The End", it's postable.

(exception for appendix, index, etc., but in this case that's not "text")

I would just go with Sarah's suggestion - post it in the BB.  That's really the simplest way of doing it anyway.  You get a credit for it, and anyone who sees that & requests it already knows what they're getting, so you won't have to hassle with possible cancellations, misunderstandings, or disgruntled receivers.  Posting books to another member's WL also cuts down on FIFO rollover delays & waiting for someone to inbox you back to tell you if they still want the book.  You can also ask that whoever wants it put it on auto-request, so you don't even have to wait for them to accept it.
