Is there a place to put the publications date, or am I missing something?

No there is not a place for it. I normally put it with the description.

There, in theory, will be -- there's a field for it in the database, and it will have one if it got the data automagically from some outside electronic-data source (like, Amazon), but at the moment it doesn't let us enter one.
