Although there are many books available now on the power of the subconscious mind, the Law of Attraction, etc. - and I've read most of them - this one really struck a chord with me.

The pros: short, concise chapters are easy to read, the basic principles are applied and illustrated to many different specific life areas (business, finances, relationships, health, aging, emotions, general success), lots of related references are given, and the book is chock full of inspiring examples and illustrations.

The cons: even though this book has been recently updated, the writing style does come off as a little old-fashioned. There's a lot of repitition of the basic ideas (although this may be a very good thing!), and there are a lot of Bible/Christianity references (although I am not religious and I was not personally put off by anything contained in the book, I do think it could have made an effort to be more inclusive of different religious/spiritual philosophies).

Overall, the pros FAR outweigh the cons, and I must say that this book was VERY instrumental in helping me overcome a serious "incurable" chronic illness that I am now completely free of, as well as improving my home business and personal financial situation. If you read it and actually apply the exercises, you can truly change your life! I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is seriously interested in overcoming life challenges and making serious improvements in your state of mind and life experience.
