The body of an archaeological student is found near her group's dig site. The body looks as if it has been mauled by a bear. The only problem is that it is the dead of winter and grizzly bears don't live in that part of Maine.....

A good solid mystery story with some ghostly, supernatural elements thrown in. The story is somewhat reminiscent of Stephen King.
