" Lord! Are you listening? They say that you care! "
" I need an answer, All I have is this prayer. "
" You see, I have a desire, a yearning to BE, "
" If only Mommy..., Mommy loved me. "

" Tell her, I feel her anger, her doubts, her fears, "
" I know the lonliness of living between tears. "
" Tell her I'm special, not to miss out on me, "
" Help...her...Lord, help mommy love me. "

" Why is my existence, not greeted with joy? "
" It doesn't seem to matter if I'm a girl or a boy. "
" I wish I could tell her, how great it could be, "
" Mommy and I together, if mommy loved me. "

" I pray for my mommy, for my fate holds she, "
" Will the Silence hear the screams, as I cease to be? "
" No matter my destiny, only this do I plead, "
" Please! Tell my Mommy, She is loved by me. "

" Amen. "

Unintentional as the neglect might be, it still hurts.....doesn't it? Nicely thought out.

Not terribly fond of politically slanted poems on devisive issues.
