You would think that the characters and plot lines would be stale by book 26, but, I still find the characters friendly. They are still complex. They grow and change. It is like dropping in on a friend's life. Different yet consistent.
And, yes, they can still surprise you, yet not be out of character.

Her plots are never boilerplate or routine.

This one - "oh no! This isn't happening! Joe is BAD???"
Well, just read it. Plausible but not expected!

Once you start - just allow yourself enough time to read it all. You won't put it down once you start.

I was really looking forward to this one - having loved all of the others in the series, but I was a little disappointed.

While the colorful main characters with their quirky personalities remain the same - we were introduced to a host of new "guests" at the B&B all with aliases and subplots that were difficult to follow.

All of the loose ends are tied up at the finale, but I was still left wondering what was the point of all the subterfuge and script type dialog? And more importantly, what does the title have to do with the story - is it just a play on words?

Would definitely recommend that you read some of the earlier books in the series so that you have a grasp of who the main characters are and what their background and relevance to the story is.

While this one was definitely not my favorite of the series - I won't give up just yet and will wait for the next installment.
