Fantastic. This book just didn't stop and I literally could not put it down. It is pretty short, so I finished it in a day. This is an extremely well written account of a child who grows up during WWII. It was a completely different perspective than other holocaust books and it was a true account of this child's experience. I really loved it.

The book is written from a Jewish child's viewpoint; being captured long with her brother during WWII in Poland. Loebel's account tells much about the camps & environment that she & her brother encountered. Both contracted tubercolis, were taken to Sweden to recover. Loebel shares of their recovery process; and then to return again to Poland. She tells about her parents & their account, which is somewhat different than the children's experience during WWII. The book is a quick read, well worth time reading. It is different in that it is written from a child's experience as she matured to a teenager during the war.
