I like to always have one purely entertaining book (as opposed to research/work) that I can sit down and enjoy with a cup of tea to de-stress. This book was perfect! It's split up into sections and each story is both entertaining in itself and characters move from generation to generation. There is a lot of interesting history woven into it and it's extra fun if you've been to Dublin.

Excellent, excellent book chronicling the turbulent history of much misunderstood Ireland. Abounds with period detail. A true portrait of life at the time, with an added debunking of certain myths and stereotypes about the beautiful emerald isle.
