A very nice textbook covering how modern chemistry laboratory instruments work from electrodes to nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. PRINCIPLES goes into detail to show and explain what is happening for each. Although the material is presented in an approachable manner, it is a textbook and not light reading.
