Hmmm.... Pretty good, fast, and fun, if a little shallow. I kept waiting for the story to take a strong sci-fi turn or for things to get a little more traditionally romancey and flesh out some of the characters a bit more. And it turned out neither was the case! I was willing to go along with the way things turned out, though, and enjoyed the fact that the main characters were real adults -- albeit in very unreal situations at times! The book leaves a lot of unanswered questions in terms of world-building and plot if you're interested in anything but surface stuff. (Like, how'd the boys get involved then? Does this exist somehow for men? Is that why they're all going to bed early? If it exists all over, then how does anything on the planet get accomplished?!!)

This book is quite hot. Woman has a husband ready to divorce her for a younger girl, finds a special place to go for all her fantasies and boy are they something. Great story about good vs. bad with a lot of steam in it. Looking forward to the next 2.

I really like Bertrice Small's historical romance so I was interested in reading her contemporary erotica. I've gotten all the Pleasures series books and this is the first one I've read in the series. I wasn't dissapointed. I really enjoyed it. I did think there wasn't quite as much detail in this book as I've come to expect and enjoy in Small's other novels, but it was still great. There was one scene which I just loved and the one or two pages made the whole book for me. Interesting ending. You kinda new it was coming, but were surprised it happened just the same. Id recommend and am going to read the other books in the series too. One thing that was different about this book is that the characters are in there 40s and 50's age wise. I have never read, and I've read thousands, a romance novel or erotica with a main character uinder the age of 30. It was refreshing. I didn't think I'd enjoy that aspect about the book when I started, but it worked well. Thumbs up to Bertrice Small.
