I couldn't figure these two out. He's the new darling of the country club set and she despises him because women throw themselves at him. The club decides to have a 10 day cross country motorcycle race and she enters not knowing what it's all about until too late. The hero thinks she's a spoiled rich girl who will quit before it's over. She goes ahead with it for the sake of pride. He begins to respect her because she isn't what she seems (his ex tried to take him so he figures all women are like her). He doesn't want to like her and she is attracted to him even though she doesn't want to be. He is mean, surly, bossy, and I would have killed him before the race was over if it had been me. The whole story was so topsy-turvy: One day he's rotten to her all day; the next day he's teasing and fun; the third day he's back to form;, etc. It also seemed that practically every day they were in rain, either riding into a storm, or it rains all night and soaks their tent, etc. All in all, it was a grueling trip and an emotional tug-of-war that I just wasn't happy with. She should have taken the bike and left him stranded more often than not.
