A really excellent and readable introduction to programming with C++. Even though it's older, it's not really out of date, as not very much has changed in the C++ language specification since 1999. A great resource for anyone who is learning to program for the first time; if you already know something about programming, you probably want a more advanced text. Includes self-test exercises and programming projects, too.
