Does anyone know how long the processing time is going to be when you buy from PBS?  I wish they had a mailed out button too!

I ordered last Saturday.  I received an email from PBS on Wednesday saying my order had been shipped. 

I see 4 days wow.  I ordered also but haven't received any notice other than receipt of order.

Looks like patience as in regular swapping is necessary in the market as well.

I ordered on Tuesday 2/2 and the order was shipped on Friday 2/5.  

They sent me an email when they shipped with a trackking #.  It took a couple of days.

I ordered on January 29th and my books came yesterday, the 5th - even with media mail shipping, that's quick!

Ordered last Thursday, was told they mailed on Tuesday.

Did the DC numbers other folks got work okay?  I'm trying to track my package but the number isn't recognized at USPS.com.  I get the message "there is no record of this item".

I ordered the 26th. The receipt says it was mailed on the 28th. The club communications said it was mailed on the 2nd. I haven't gotten anything yet and my DC is the same as Britney, the USPS doesn't know it exists.

I think they are gathering information on these early orders to try to get some time guestimates so that they can give people an estimate in the future.

I don't know if this comparison applies, but when I order from Amazon the tracking number usually gets sent to me at least a day or two ahead of the number actually working.  I don't know that it's ever really had anything to do with the time it takes for the package arrives, just a sluggishness in the tracking number system. 

I purchased something on the 4th, and haven't heard anything yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  With the weather being what it is, I'm doubtful my order will arrive with the same expedience as the rest of you, but I'm still hopeful.

Yes, but not for a day or two. Like it didn't get an initial scan, but did along the way.

True, but it's been four days already, and usually within a day or two the DC says something along the lines of "USPS has been notified to expect this package for shipping", etc., even if there are no other scans.

ETA: the number also looks different than other DC numbers I've been tracking.  If it's completely different from the one on the package when it arrives (or there's no DC on the package at all) I'll PM the team, but otherwise I guess I'll just have to wait patiently.

I placed an order on 1/28 and got an email on 2/3 saying it had shipped and giving me a tracking number.  The tracking number I was given is like Britney's and does not seem to work at usps.com when plugged into the tracker.  I get the same message you got Britney "there is no information for this number"  Hopefully that doesn't mean problems.  I don't mind the waiting, (I'm used to that anyway with media mail), but that message and the fact that after 3 days, there still is no information about my package, got me worrying.  just waiting it out to see what happens.  Hopefully everything goes well and this is the start of a lovely new aspect of my book buying addiction.  If not, oh well, it was worth the shot and I still have FIFO and my WL.

I got the shipping notice on the 5th business day after I ordered. Then I got the books one week later. I also had the experience of the USPS not recognizing the DC # until the day the books were actually delivered. All of the scans on this DC # were done at my own Post Office, including "Electronic Shipping Info Received", even though the books came from Georgia.

Update: the DC number was recognized by USPS today.  The books also arrived today.  So it took 12 days total - requested on a Thursday, mailed on a Tuesday, books arrived the next Tuesday.

Just got my books today!  DC number never was reckognized, go figure.  But they arrived in good shape and I'll probably order again, but just won't look at the DC number and save myself the worry.

I got my item today.  It shipped five days after I ordered it (one of which was Sunday, so I think it still holds to what seems to be a standard four day processing period) and took another four days to get here.  It's packaged perfectly, and aside from a corner slightly crumpled from having apparently been dropped the item seems perfect.  It's actually quite a bit nicer than I had imagined.  All told I think it cost me about half the actual price, so I can't argue with the Market one bit.  Seems like yet another great addition to an already fantastic source for books.

I ordered on 2/7. Books were shipped yesterday, 2/12 (per email). DC# is not recognized yet, but since others have reported the same thing, I'm not worried about that.

ETA: Ok, seems my books were not shipped when I was told they were shipped. Received another email yesterday saying the books were shipped on 2/15.  

I placed my order on Feb 4th. I just got the shipping info yesterday.

I originally ordered 17 books on the 28 but there was an error and nothing went through.  Then I ordered 23 book on Thursday, February 4, and got a message that my books were mailed the next Tuesday.  I got another message yesterday saying that my books were mailed yesterday.  Since it was a holiday, I doubt they were actually mailed yesterday.  I'm hoping they are actually in the mail but both my tracking numbers don't work.  In the first message it mentioned that one of my books was not mailed and in the second message that book was mentioned as mailed.  I think it is taking way too long for these books to be mailed.  I spent a fortune on them and I think a two-day wait is enough.  A week and a half (almost 2 weeks) is ridiculous. 

booklover, I got the message that my books were mailed yesterday and I had already received them.  I think yesterday's email was a glitch.

Can someone tell me what the shipping charges are at the PBS Marketplace?  I didn't see that when I was browsing there.

Donatella,  Thanks for letting me know.  I checked the tracking number of my second (Monday's) notice and it said my package arrived in my town this morning at 3:43.  I should be getting my package today, YAY!! 

Nicebooks, my shipping was 3.23 for the first book and $1 for each book thereafter.  So 25.23 was the grand total.  Some of the books I ordered were paperbacks but some were large hardcovers and would be heavy and expensive to send.
