A continuation of the story begun in "A Girl Named Thursday", it follows a young VAD through the second half of WWII, from her original posting in Gosport, England to Egypt for several years, and finally her return back to Haslar Hospital in Gosport. Lots of heartwarming surprises as well as the realities of war, and nursing the survivors of war. Enjoyable read.
