2nd book in Madeline's 2nd trilogy. The 6 books are linked by the charactor David de Abyndon who is introduced as a young boy in By Design, is a secondary charactor in Stealing Heaven and the male lead in By Arrangement. This book is Morvan Fitzwaryn's story and Morvan has really met his match with Anna. As always Madeline story is influenced by historical facts including Anna's "mentors". I really enjoyed this book, good story, passion, humor and we get to see David and Christina again. A few years have passed since BY ARRANGEMENT and Morvan can at times be kind of an arse have no fear, he "hero's up" just fine.

The first time Morvan Fitzwaryn laid eyes on her, Alana de Leon had come to his rescue with a sword in her hand. It wasn't long before he felt a spark for the Breton beauty, with her strong yet caring ministrations. While tending to the wounded English knight, Alana, who is used to commanding men in battle, begins to fear her defenses won't withstand his smoldering looks and tantalizing kisses. For as the enemy rallies outside her castle walls, it is Morvan who makes her a prisoner of her own firey passion.

This was a great historical romance...very enjoyable.
