Topic: Publisher's wouldn't publish Jane Austen today (or so they say)......

  I saw that on the news, but you have to remember that often times publishers simply will not read unsolicited books.

  So this man sends in a Jane Austen knock-off , the publisher doesn't know who this guy is and didn't ask him to send anything,  so they send the book back to him without reading it.

  He thinks, "They don't like Jane Austen" when the fact is "They don't like books they did not ask for." Chances are they didn't even read the first sentece. 

  Most people still think Jane Austen is the best, I mean they are making a movie about her this fall! Obviously we still love her!
