I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but..... What is the difference between a paperback and a mass market paperback book?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I keep seeing it and I was curious as to the difference. Thanks for you help.

There is no difference really. A paperback book can be a mass market paperback and that is one of the smaller books that runs about 8 dollars, and there are the trade sized paperbacks, those are the ones that are bigger then a mass market, but smaller then a hardcover. I wish I could give you a better idea of size according to inches, but I'm at work right now.

Edited to add, don't worry, this is the correct place for this question and it isn't a silly question. The only silly questions are the ones that are never asked. @:)

Mass Market paperbacks are cheaply made mass produced pb's with flimsy covers and paper.

This site explains them pretty well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paperback
