I just picked up a lot of these at a FOL sale today. First, has anyone read these and are they enjoyable? Second, can anyone tell me the correct order so I can follow the series? Thanks! Lisa |

I have read alot of them, and yes, they are worth reading. The main character lives on Martha's Vineyard with his wife and children (depending on which book you read of course). At this point I can't remember their names because it has been awhile since I read any. But the Main Character (MC) is a retired policeman, and tends to find all sorts of problems on the island that need to be solved, usually involving murder. His wife is an emergency room nurse who also gets involved. There is a little profanity in them, not much, and some "tasteful" sexual innuendos. I'd rate them PG-13 probably. |

I have read most iof his vineyard series and put my books on sale last summer. I just checked and I have two left # 6 and # 13. If you are interested go to my bookshelf and you can order one or both of them. He is good and the mysteries excellant. Leyba Vineyard Poisin has been called for and will be mailed today. The other one is still available.

I really liked the series. There is also a series by Brendon Cole about the same area that I liked. But be careful since he also writes another type of books. There is another writed that writes about vineyards in Calif. |

Again, I have read quite a few of them and enjoyed them immensely. You can almost smell the salt water! The sad thing about this series however, is that Philip Craig died in 2007. So unless he had a book or two in the works for someone else to finish, "Third Strike" will be the last of the Vineyard Series. Here are the list of books in order. The asterick means that they are available for swapping right now:
Hope this helps! Happy Reading! |
