I liked the poem, but not the title.
What if.... the pain, the sorrow, the tears in life Could be solved with such a quick fix As the removal of our appendix? It is a bonus an extra of parts With it absent a contentness starts It would seem so simple an emotional gain A nip a tuck a pat on the hand No more tears, no more fears Strongly on two feet you'd stand Head up high with eyes all dry Emotions under control with little to no discomfort in seven to ten days No need to mope or spin your minds wheels Pondering your feelings and making them heal All is better once its gone Never to return and haunt you again Is complete happiness the secret life goal Or would sad emotions still linger deep in our soul? |
