Gawd, I had all 4,5 or 6 of these great novellas by McEvoy. I wish to god I still had them all & I hope to get this one soon. Great series, good movies & good author.

(PS) The one about the guy helping invent Chip & stealing him from an arcade is the best!

Quite possibly the funniest book I've read in my youth. The interaction between characters is hilarious.

A couple of decades back Disney found this book interesting enough to produce a series of movies. Dr. Jonas Carson finally manages to create an android so human he becomes Carson's son and Carson's human daughter finally accepts him as a brother. The android, Chip, is desired by some really bad people, is pursued by a high school cutie, and has to become a bit of a detective. Good, easy reading for youth - and those adults, like me, who have found that youth reading is fun.
