"Rachel's Change of Heart" by Donna simpson (2003)
The is Rachel Neville's story. She was her father's favorite and when he died she closed herself off thinking that if she didn't care/love she couldn't be hurt. She tried to become the perfect debutante. When her sister, Penny, got married something started happening to her. She became aware of some new feelings. She noticed her perfect fiance' was just as cold as she was and she didn't like it.
Colin Varens, who she has known since childhood had always loved Rachel and had asked for her hand in marriage many times but now that she was engaged, he knew he had to reconcile himself to only be her friend.
Rachel started to question everything and her frozen emotions started to melt.
As Colin and Rachel spent time together can he be satisfied with being only friends especially as he sees the changes in Rachel? Does Rachel see life differently and how does she react?
