  It rains.

In the summer, when the air is sweet and the plants are proud and tall, the rain falls, a warm, spicy intoxication that speeds the heart and soothes the mind.
It carries with it the scents of all it touches, the drops falling over and over until there’s nothing but perfumed sound, plop, plop, plop, speaking of a profound peace as the earth sings to the soul.

Something wonderful happening.

Life continues.

It rains.

(Sometimes I read this over and feel slightly silly, but then I catch a whiff of ozone mingled with flower smells from the garden, and I remember why it came out like this.
There's no place better in the world for that feeling than Oregon, I think.)

Hi, Geneve...not silly at all but beautifully put! You have your own personal 'communion' going on... :)

I agree, not silly but lovely! I also get such a good feeling from that wonderful ozone smell--though I've never gotten to do it in Oregon. Hope to some day!

I love the way you expressed this cycle of life. Keep it up. Very soothing to read and be in that moment.
