I was surfing the web today and I came across this list of "Readalikes"...if you like author A, then here is a list of other authors you might enjoy...

I am always looking for new authors to read so I found this interesting and thought I would share this link with others.

If you like that, you'll probably like Nancy Pearl's books "Book Lust" and "More Book Lust".  These are books of quirky booklists, grouped by topic, author, setting, etc.

Try www.gnooks.com you type in three authors you like and it gives you a list of similar authors.

Oddly enough, I just discovered www.gnooks.com last week and immediately added to my wish/reminder list as a result...I used to wonder how people could be wishing for 150 or more books -- how naive of me! Now I have 170 books on my wish list and another 30-some on my reminder list! And I have a feeling I am just getting started...

I guess I could be obsessed with so many worse things than books!

You can also get access to "Novelist" through your local library, schools and colleges have access to it as well. For home access you have to get a password from your local library to get on.  I love it, it's especially helpful for kids doing book reviews and such.

The readalikes are my favorite. My friends call me all the time for suggestions, even though they can just do it themselves, I think they like to talk about it. lol
