This excellent book is easy to use to teach young children the basics of chemistry. I used it with a first grader and third grader, along with the lab workbook that is available to go with this curriculum. Kid-friendly illustrations throughout the book make the pages visually appealing for kids, and the easy to read text does an outstanding job communicating the information. I recommend this book without hesitation for children at the first, second, or third grade level.
