I loved, loved, loved the first book! This one was pretty good too. The only downfall is I went from really liking Saba to getting a bit irritated with her in this book. I know she went through a lot in the first book but this brought on a whiny girl who constantly made one bad decision after the other. It was hard to like her. Lugh wasn't much better either. He went from a caring brother to a real jerk. But since the story kept it pace and kept me intrigued, I still enjoyed it. Characters such as Emmi & Slim help make up for the loss.
This story picks up right where book 1 leaves off. Saba and Jack go their separate ways. You don't hear a lot from Jack in this one. He is at the beginning and more at the end. Saba and her siblings travel to different places and I'm always in awe everywhere they go. Young does such a great job on description, you can actually feel yourself there. With the ending of this book, I can't wait to get my hands on the 3rd book!
