Paranormal/suspense thriller, third in series. An old enemy well known to Cade is resurrected, with plans to target the President just when the President has to go campaign for his second term. So, President Curtis is fighting to keep his job, just as Cade and his handler Zack are fighting to keep the President safe. Throw in some other old adversaries, and the blood thirsty press, and a weasel of a Vice President, and this makes for a terrific story. I couldn't put it down. I'm just sorry that I don't know when the next installment is coming. The cliff-hanger ending is unexpected and awesome!

I only write a review if a book is very good or very bad. I have totally enjoyed all three books in this series. Cade is the President's vampire. He vowed to defend the President against all threats human and otherwise. His main opponent in this book is the Bogeyman. Cade has defended Presidents since Lincoln. The ending is a total surprise. My attention was held from the very first page. Supernatural books are not really my usual reading material. But, I recommend this book to any reader.
