Has anyone read this book?  I got it from a lady i work with and i never deny free books.  I wanted to know if it would be worth reading.

Definitely worth your time!  I know it's an all-time favorite for me, and I also know I've heard nothing but good reviews from others, so I know I'm not alone.  I should go re-read my copy too :-)

Hi, I am new to the book club but been a Christian for quite a long time now.  Never read much but non-fiction stuff until I read Redeeming Love about a year ago.  Now I am a Francine Rivers addict I think!  I have read many of them - working on the Mark of the Lion series currently.  But Redeeming Love was just incredible - awakens every emotion you have I think.  And ultimately such a sweet, sweet story that retells an old old story from the Bible, but set in the early west migration here in the US.  I am sure you will love it!  Every one of Francine Winters books are so different but each has a message of faith in it for you and lots of truth.  Enjoy!

Redeeming Love was my first of hers too...now I'm addicted as well.  Have all of her books now, I think.  They are in my permanent collection.

Excellent book!  I thought it would take me forever to read since it was so long but once I got started I couldn't put it down.  I read it in a little over a day!

The Women's group at our church made this the BOok of the Month back in April and everyone has been talking about it and swapping and buying up her books.  Redeeming Love is on my wish list.   I haven't gotten it yet. My TBR pile is already high. :)

I loved Redeeming Love ... I"m starting a Christian-themed Book Club and this is one we're going to put forward to choose from.

I loved Redeeming Love. It was amazing, just amazing. I told everyone I knew about it, and my in laws both read it and loved it, too, even my FIL. I like Francine Rivers' historical books better then her contemporaries, but all of her books are good. :-)

Can anyone recommned books similar to Redeeming Love? I love hist. fiction books without all detailed sexual content. I know someone posted this Q on another forum,( i think hidden gems) but I also loved the Christian theme. Any ideas? I have read almost all of Janette Oke and Lori Wick's books, but maybe i will have to start recollecting them again to read.

Megan,

have you read teh rest of Francine Rivers books?  She has several that are really really good.  Another writer I like is Lynn Austin.  FANTASTIC!  :)  She has several great books that are easy to read.

When I was on bedrest with my oldest DS, I read alot of Lauraine Snelling....her Red River of the North series is wonderful historical fiction.  I would highly recommend it....I have been working on getting that complete set in my home library.

Thanks Megan....it's my boys..they were goofing around one day when I was taking pics for my ebay stuff.

Of those three books, I would recommend Atonement Child.  Absolutely awesome...dealing with a topic that isn't directly dealt with in Christian circles.

Hi!

My current favorite is And the Shofar Blew (Francine Rivers). It was an amazing book, an interesting commentary on the sad state of the comfy American church.  It really makes you think about how we do - and should -  be defining a "successful" church.

I also REALLY love all historical fiction by Jack Cavanaugh.

Wow I just read redeeming love what an awesome book!!! I coudln't even put it down.. I felt myself feeling the characters pain and was really sad when I finished reading it.  I cried and laughed and just really felt like I was right in the middle of the book.  Spritually it was also incrediable because it really started making me think about what Christ did for me and I am just like the girl in the book continuously sinning, but God is just like MIchael always standing there waiting and in pain wanting me to return to him.. I would highly recommend this book to everyone you must read it.. Very incrediable book...

Have a great day

God Bless
