Frank Cole just can't stay out of other people's business. A drug hijacking goes wrong and a missing person has something everyone else wants. Only the cops don't seem to care. The only clue is the missing person took a ride in a cab owed by the company Cole works for as dispatcher.
Cole is still trying to fit into the Florida Panhandle community and live down his status as a "new Yankee" in town. Meanwhile, he is trying to get by on less than little, due to his bankruptcy case. If he makes too much money, his creditors get it. To complicate things, his girlfriend "just doesn't understand" him.
This is an entertaining sequel to the first book.
