Well done illustrations (both in color/in habitat and line drawings) and a considerable amount of text. The brief introduction establishes a timeline of Mesozoic era creatures of the sea and subsequent chapters cover Ichthyosaurs, Pliosaurs, Elasmosaurs, and Mosasaurs. Each has a box (sidebar) with just the facts and the final chapter is entitled 'Extinction.' The endpapers have drawings of the creatures so one can see their relative size.
Both the author and the illustrator are very experienced.
There is a one page bibliography with commentary, plus a few websites listed. Glossary and index.
Since this is such a good book I will take a big chance (I am often left holding the bag) and purchase it from the branch library sale shelf, hoping that one of the two wishers will answer up when I post it.
