Someone is killing the children. It is evil, of course. It is murder. But some see it as a necessary sacrifice from which only good will come. And no one must be allowed to stop this pattern of deaths before it is completed.
This is what anthropologist Cal Jamison and his seven-year-old motherless son, Chris unwittingly discover when the stumble upon the bizarre goings-on of a bloody worldwide cult operating just below the surface of modern-day Manhattan. Beautiful Torey Halowell becomes Cal's passport into this world of forbidden knowledge. But the more he probes, the deeper Cal himself is drawn into the religion's spell - until this fiendish force takes control of his life. Only then is Cal allowed to discover that Chris - the son he treasures above all else on earth may be the next sacrifice to the religion.
