I loved this book could not put it down. Enjoyed Angel and Sam's story. Couldn't wait to read Lettie and Shane and that was just as good. I love how they went in to details of Angel's life and how she became who she is today and how Sam fell head over heels with her. The ending was perfect way to combine both Ruthless Heart and Restless Heart. Wonderful writing from Emma Lang/Beth Williamson..
I was very disappointed with this sequel to Ruthless Heart, which was a much more entertaining story. Unfortunately, Restless Heart was bogged down with a hero I couldn't connect with, a heroine who was too young, and a plot that meandered overlong. There wasn't a whole lot of emotional investment here to these cardboard characters. Historical westerns are one of my favorite genres, so that, along with a heroine on the run from an abusive husband plot, showed lots of promise. It's too bad it ended up being such a bland tale. This one's a big yawn. 2.8 stars
Because I read this book immediately after the first book in the series, I found myself not liking Restless Heart as much as I liked Ruthless Heart. Ruthless Heart was so captivating,no wonder it was a tad bit disappointing to follow up with Angelines story and not have that same sense of fulfillment as her sister, Eliza. My suggestion would be not to read them back to back. You may find yourself enjoying Restless Heart a lot more if you do so.
nice sweet book read it quick too.
