Despite our being in the age of electronic this and that, a good resume is still indispensable, especially in this tough job market. You may change formats as you send your resume electronically or attach it to an e-mail (rather than sending it by snail mail), but the drill is still the same. This book helped me avoid some common mistakes which seemed trivial to me, but were not trivial at all to potential employers (time gaps where I was not employed, for instance) This book also helped me work through the process of cover letters, thank you notes, etc. Good writing skills and good manners still matter to many potential employers, and this book walks you through the entire process.
