This book is part of the discontinued Silhouette Shadows series. It is a series of books dealing with the supernatual with a mix of romance. This is book 5 in the series and is about Valora Rolland. She is a woman drawn back to Bloodstone House, a manor right under the haunted Mount Sangre. There is an evil surrounding the place but the mystery calls her to solve and unravel it, even it mean being in danger herself.

This books is reminiscent of Victoria Holt and other gothic authors. It's suspenseful and will hold you until the end.

Jane Toombs writes a great book. The start of the evil is before the first white man sets foot on Mount Sangre,it was awaken one terrible night with a secret ceremony and now ten years later it is still waiting.A good read and full of Indian lore.
