I loved Seven Years in Tibet (and not because of Brad Pitt) so it was very interesting to read this book from the same author, on the same place but 20 years later. It was also heartbreaking to read his reports on all the Chinese had destroyed and even more heartbreaking to read about his optimistic hopes for the future and know that things only got worse...
