"Was Richard the Third as black as Shakespeare painted him? Did he drive a dagger into hapless Henry VI and into Henry's young son Prince Edward, do down his brother Clarence even as he pretended to plead for him, murder the two sons of his brother Edward IV, poison his wife Anne, and commit numerous other villianies? Or was he a goodly king who became a tragic victim of history when his reputation fell into the hands of his enemies? This debate has raged over almost 400 centuries...yet passions flare and people rush into print at the mere mention of 'the little princes in the Tower'. This history book reads like a modern day novel of deceit and murder. I enjoyed it very much plus it lays to read many unanswered questions about this time period and these people.
