Did not care for this book. Not only did it drag on and ramble, much of the information wasn't consistent throughout the book. Page xii - Philippine disaster where 4,375 people went down with a ferry in 1987. Page 162 - A passenger ferry sank in the Philippines with the lost of 4,375 lives in April 1980. Despite the cover stating "an astonishing reassessment of a disaster that shook the world..." I wasn't astonished and I didn't learn anything new.
