Boddicker and his men kill officer Alexander Murphy, his body riddled with rounds to be taken to the hospital and declared legally dead. But enough of his mind survived that they use it to turn him into a cyborg that they and the media dub Robocop. He hits the streets hard, striking at the punks and lowlifes who once ruled Old Detroit with impunity. One executive even goes on TV proclaiming that they predict the end of crime in old Detroit in ninety days, because there's a new kid on the block named Robocop. Murphy's old partner stirs memories from his past, making him start to go after Boddicker and his maniacs.
