This is a really good story, a little like "It's a Wonderful Life" in that the character (Micah) is torn between two lives and each choice he makes affects the life he always knew or the life he is finding, causing some surprising and unexpected consequences. It is a story of forgiveness of the past and finding direction in the present-but it is a Christian based novel with a very religious message with alot of scripture quoting. If you enjoy Christian fiction, this is excellent. For me, it was a bit too "preachy"-but still thought- provoking and inspiring. There were wonderful parts and some parts were, as I said-for me, a bit too "preachy'. I tend to get more out of reading a novel-for whatever reason-than from listening to a book on audio. So, I think I would have enjoyed reading more. However, the author reads this one himself and does an excellent job. I do recommend it as a very enjoyable tale- but unless you enjoy Christian fiction-you may not get so much out of it.
