ISBN 0446326437 - Not a huge fan of books that require glossaries (unless they're not in English or they're non-fiction) and really not a romance fan, I was prepared to hate this book - and I didn't!

Meghan is marked and the superstitious people around her believe she is a witch. Her aunt takes care of her, keeping her away from people and hiding the truth of who her parents are. When Meghan saves the life of Revelin Butler, she falls for the unconscious man and he is certain that she was a figment of his imagination because she disappears before he comes to. Soon, he has the chance to return the favor when villagers burn her house to the ground and kill her aunt. Taking her under his protection, the Englishman and his companions soon find themselves thankful for the superstitions that have plagued Meghan all her life, because they keep them all safe... for a while.

Better than the average romance novel, and better than most of the fantasy stuff I've read, if only because the fantasy here is presented as superstition rather than real. Pretty good, all in all.
