  Rotting Dreams

All the places I wanted to go
And the things I said I’d do
All the dreams that I once had are gone
And it’s all because of you.

You told me that you loved me
But can you not see the pain?
Can’t you see that there’s no difference
Between the sunshine and the rain?

You told me that you’d help me
But you went and turned your back.
I’ll never be the new red rose
My heart is painted black.

Now what am I supposed to do?
I’m broken and forlorn.
My world is scattered around me
It’s all tattered and torn.

Sit back and watch me suffer now
How could you do this to me?
I can’t help wondering if I were gone
How much happier you’d be.

So I hope that you are happy
Because I, for one, am not.
And I hope that you can be content
While my dreams decay and rot.

no comments please, I'm already miserable enough.
