The book seem to drag. Early on I felt I knew why the boys were either killed or committed suicide. But, I was wrong. The real reason may seem like nonsense to those who aren't knowledgable about the English Civil War. But probably never before or again was that passion so strong in England as it was then.

There is a sequel, but I think I'll pass on it. However, I gave the book a third star as there were no zombies or vampires in it, even though witches were mentioned.
