Fantastic 13-year old narrative voice hooked me on page 2 with, "We spend little time thinking about Army hierarchy becuse their haircuts are so sad." Eulabee and her friends are free to experience the power and beauty of clambering over the cliffs near the ocean and also to experience disturbing sexual incidents. I'm looking forward to a book group discussion to help process this one. Vida gets the mid 1980s quite accurately.
