This is only the second book by Heitzmann I have read. I really enjoyed the first one, but this one was awesome! I could not put it down. It would make a great movie. The author's understanding and portrayal of human personalities and how childhood abuse effects them is right on, not to mention attention grabbing. The subtle way she writes about the power of faith and God's loving pursuit of humans while giving them freedom to chose is refreshing and encouraging.

Loved this book -- it was the first one I read from this author and it turned me into a fan. A good book with tension woven into the story, but not too scary. Definitely worth reading.
GREAT READ
This book had a good story line, but there were flaws. For example, somebody who was already standing stands up etc. Also a Catholic Priest explains salvation to a character in a way that the Catholic church does not believe. Too bad the author doesn't know her theology better if she's going to write about it. It was somewhat predictable but had a good ending, just not the best.
I enjoyed this book very much. Kristen Heitzmann is a very good writer. My husband even read this book and liked it. I had read "Twilight" and liked it, so I decided to read this one. I then read "Still of Night" and recommend any of them for people who like this genre.
This is a wonderful Christian mystery. A great read! Set time aside to read this book.
Thoroughly enjoyable mystery/romance
This is one of the best books I have ever read. It was hard to put it down. Loaned it to a friend, and she was up to 4 a.m. reading it. Can't wait to read more from this author.
Always enjoy Heitzman - great reading.
Great story - Kristen Heitzmann is one of my new favorite authors!

I got this book from another member because I love Kristen Heitzmann's books. It was a great read just like all the rest of her books.
A great christian read. Holds your attention from page one!
Another good book by Kristen Heitzmann! Somewhat of a thriller, but an easy read.
I just finished this book. I feel these characters are so real to me that I could go to the locations and meet these people in real life. Kristen Heitzman does such a good job of bringing us into the situation she has created, that you feel the pain and trials involved in the story line. I'm a bit of a tender hearted person and very dark books are not my cup of tea. However this book was exactly the right combination of dark to light. I will be reading more books by this author and I highly recommend you try this book! Dolly Perry
This book was a great mix of romance and mystery.

This was an excellent book that dealt very sensitively with a traumatic childhood incident that has left the main character confused & not sure who to trust. The suspense kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning & the Christian theme throughout made me wish I could pray for the characters involved. The ending was very tender & I would highly recommend this book.
Everything by this author is always a promising read and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed it and look forward to more of her stories.
Another good book by Kristen, I really enjoyed it.
