Oddly enough, I preferred the chapters NOT written in the first person from Kinsey's POV, the story of the characters as they were 34 years before when the crime (or was it?) actually happened.

Kinsey is hired by a daughter whose mother disappeared 34 years ago. One of her best.

Another great story by Grafton. Have really enjoyed her books. They make you feel like you are right there with the action going on.

Fairly good book, but slow paced. The use of flashback to the 1950s is not a good vehicle. Kinsey again finds the 'dun it' in Whodunit!

This may be my favorite writing by Sue Grafton. She becomes better and better with every book I read. This story shows how our actions or lack of actions affect those around us. How some people can move on with their lives and how some take events close to heart and carry their wounds with them.

The layout of this novel is different than the others. I thoroughly have enjoyed reading Sue Grafton from her beginning novel "A" up to now. She grows with every story.

This is a must read!
