Just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club.  I loved it!  The ending really surprised me.

The Bookshop by Penelope Fitzgerald. just started.

Just slightly underwhelmed. Short book only 128pp. Very British. I think some of the characters will stay with me for a while.

Didn't like The Pesthouse although I usually enjoy post appolistic novels. Currently reading Little Girl Gone by Gerry Schmitt, a first in the series. Very good so far.

speaking of post apocaliptic novels I have always thought I should try reading Riddley Walker by Russell Hoban. It has been recommended to me several times but I am a little afraid of it. The language is a little weird from what I have heard.

I just read my daughter's copy of "Life As We Knew It" Geared towards young adults, but I could transition easily. Excellent read!!
