Ingredients
  • 1 8" - PIE SHELL
  • 3 EA - BEATEN EGGS
  • 3/4 CUP - DARK KARO SYRUP
  • 3/4 CUP - SUGAR
  • 1/4 TEASPOON - SALT
  • 2 1/2 TEASPOON - VANILLA
  • 1 CUP - BROKEN PECAN PIECES
  • 3 TABLESPOONS - MELTED OLEO
Directions

MIX WELL THE BEATEN EGSS AND KARO SYRUP. 

ADD SUGAR, SALT AND VANILLA. 

MIX WELL AND LET SIT FOR 5 MINUTES.

PLACE PECAN PIECES IN PIE CRUST.

STIR MELTED OLEO INTO THE SYRUP MIXTURE.

POUR SYRUP MIXTURE OVER PECANS IN PIE SHELL.

PECANS SHOULD RISE TO TOP.

BAKE AT 375* FOR 40-45 MINUTES OR UNTIL KNIFE INSERTED IN MIDDLE COMES OUT CLEAN.

(EDGES OF CRUST TEND TO BROWN VERY QUICKLY SO I USUALLY PUT FOIL OVER THEM TO PREVENT OVERBROWNING.)
